Allow Parents To Opt Out of Inclusive (LGBTQ+) Texts and Readings!

Creating addiction and dependency. That is not life, nor is it freedom.

This has got to stop. Only the parents should have the right to protect their children from this trash. Teach the LGBTQ+ community, reading, writing, math, English, and social studies but do not teach the non LGBTQ+ community about this lifestyle.

You’re you all gone nuts?, don’t forget your are elected so called leaders who are instead of teaching the children education are getting involved in matters that is not your business. Kids are behind in their curriculum so instead of paying attention to that you so called leaders are leading the kids to destruction. Thank goodness my kids don’t go to MCPS and are spare this nonsense. Parents are responsible for the children not MCCP so called leaders, do you job that you are elected for and let the parents decide if they want to opt out of your ultra liberal agenda.

School should be about learning how to read, write and do math. This is ridiculous!

We just need to call what it is and tell everyone that it is not accepted and should not be ever accepted and this is insanity. Insanity should not be tolerated or accepted by society.

I am a homeschooling parent and when I see such policies, I am reminded of why the public school system unfortunately is not even an option for our family. This has nothing to do with hate or bigotry; I know that children will be exposed to all of these things eventually. As the parent however, it is my responsibility to guard their hearts and minds until I believe they are mature enough to have such exposure. My parental rights supersede anything of the school system.

Let kids be kids. The insanity of promoting transgender and sexuality at such a young age is child abuse.

MCPS must stop pushing the LGBTQ agenda and concentrate on teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic. Gender is not what needs to be discussed in the classroom. It is a private matter. Please immediately rescind your decision to refuse an opt-out for parents who do not believe the “inclusive texts” are suitable for their child.

We need to put parents in charge of what there children learn and are exposed to!!

I am glad my children and grandchildren do not attend Montgomery County schools.

I am horrified at this change of policy. Children need to be taught all subjects on an age appropriate level. People need to know basic arithmetic. This does not mean that algebra, geometry and calculus needs to be introduced in kindergarten. Students need to learn WWII history. However the horrors of the concentration camps should not be taught in elementary school.

We, as parents, have a right to know what our children are being taught in school. If our tax dollars pay for you to teach them, then our voices should not only be heard, but our requests, which are reasonable, should be granted.

Leave our children ALONE!!!!!
