Family is the first school, the first institution and the first nation to kids. Providing instructions that conflicts the religion, value, and moral of their own family only disintegrated the small nation that impacted the big nation. Respect family value and reinstate the opt out portion.

As an 'L' member of the LGBTQ group, I do not support this plan to block parental rights. Parents should be allowed to decide if/when their children would be exposed to this material. It's one thing to offer the subject; it's another thing to force it on students and conceal that from the parents. We often hear how respect and inclusivity take just a little effort. Please make that same inclusive effort, show that same respect, to parents who do not want their children exposed to this material via MCPS.

It is NOT “inclusive”, to be teaching children anything related to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,Trans, Queer. It’s right in the Name! It is CHILD ABUSE! What the hell is wrong with you people?!?!?
Education is meant for the essentials. Reading, writing, math, science, history….

A district that states multiple times that their goal is to be inclusive should not make unilateral decisions and exclude parents from the conversation.

Do not shut out parents from their children's education, especially in such sensitive areas as sexuality. Schools are there to teach academics and prepare students for future careers. The school is not to substitute for the family and teach dictatorial social practices.
