Allow OCI / PIO to exchange Indian Rupees

please allow foreign national to change old indian currency to new denomination rajoo

I have some old Currency. We keep for emergency purpose ,since my husband I am old .we would like to exchange the this old money .

I got my British citizenship in September 2016. After that i am visiting india in march as OCI holder. Recent OCI holders should be allowed to convert the old notes, otherwise this is quite unfair.

I have some old currency. I had to have this money on hand during my prior departure from India, for emergency purposes, since I'm old. I'd like to be able to exchange this money, since this is neither fake nor black. It is hard-earned money, on which taxes have been paid.

OCI and PIO card holders should be allowed to exchange the old currency. This is valid, hard-earned, taxed money - neither fake nor black. This is the property of the Indian govt and we'd like to give it to them.

I am a OCI holder and I have some 500 and 1000 rupee notes. Please allow me to exchange these. Mr. Modi, please, first look after the these people's concern before asking them to invest in your country

My recent visit in February to Mumbai with about Rs 20500 old higher denomination notes and exchange into new notes was rejected due to Indian Government ignorance of OCI visa holder. Why should we be called Overseas Indian Citizens when we are tired like 2nd class citizens. We bring added value to India's economy. I completed the form and wanted to declare at Airport to make it official and known so that in case there is change in policy in future. They even rejected to allow me to declare bringing old currency which did not make sense. There thousands and thousands of USA citizens of Indian origin who regularly visit India and carry small amount of Indian currency for emergency use in the begging.

All foreign national/persons of Indian origin should be allowed to change the old notes same as the NRI's and the date should also be extended beyond 30.6.2017

Please allow our old 500 and 1000 notes to exchange.

This was our hard earned money with had paid taxes to the country. I would strongly request Modiji to review the policy.

We visit India twice a year to see my old mother in law and have always extra rupees for the next visit.i have 22 thousand rupees in old currency which will be a total loss if the rules are not changed...it is not fair that only Indian passport holders can get credit and not the other passport holders...

RBI should allow OCI card holders to exchange 1000 rupees

It costs $4000/- for me and my wife to travel to India once a year to visit India. We travel only during Pongal Holiday period. Now we are stuck with the cancelled currency. We request the SBI to accept the old currency and and credit our NRI (NRE or NRO) accounts. This is the logical action to do for any DEMOCRATIC Government to do. We expect India not to turn into a Autocratic Government. KNB

This discrimination against OCI's to be removed

It is really a big disappointment for OCI card holders. Govt of India need to review this policy

This is total discrimination against OCI / PIO by the Indian Government.
