Allow OCI / PIO to exchange Indian Rupees

Plz allow us to not loose our hard earned money. We are Indians too wherever we are.

OCI/ pic card holder should be allowed to change Old currency

Indians living in the whole world would like to keep connection with their home country and they should not be neglected

Please re-share the website you have mentioned as did not show up in the comments. The issue has been raised on PMO enquiry line already, we have a reference id for this issue, however still awaiting a reply. If we have OCI / PIO citizens here then we can go for this together.

OCI holders are also Indian Citizens. What are we supposed to do with the old currency? Please allow us to exchange old currency.

Go to this site and raise your grievance with modi. Don't accept that once the deadline has passed, we are defeated. If you stop getting a reply, raise a new grievance ! We need to swamp their mailbox.

We are OCI's from Australia and regularly visit India to help old parents in India. We have old Indian currency WITHIN LIMITS (25,000 Rs per person) as per RBI guidelines. Now we are not being allowed to exchange the currency to new denominations. This does not look right and we feel discriminated. Modi ji Pl remember that we are Ambassadors of India overseas and put lots of foreign currency into India when we travel. Pl do not discriminate us by not allowing to exchange old currency

Please do something about OCI holders for note swap. Why should we go to Mumbai to exchange the notes?

how can you punish nonresident Indians who bring in millions of dollars in foreign exchange

Agree strongly to allow OCI holder to exchange notes at airport or country of residence.

I am British Citizen and OCI holder went to RBI and was turned away for exchanges SBN. I have fcnr account with a bank in India as well as NRO account in other bank. We were told that NRI account holders should be treated same as oci PIO holders no difference. Can't change our own currency notes. I request all OCI and PIO card holders not to Invest in your motherland India. They treat you as foreigners in your parents country. I went to a aAhmedabad office and as well as RBI in New Delhi. But officers kicked us out that only Indian pp holders can exchange money i.e. Old Indian currency. Modi govt is telling one thing and RBI IS TREATING PEOPLE LIKE ANIMALS. I have seen with my own eyes. Please do something to help people who have less than 2500 rupees in Old note.

There should be an arrangement to get the currency exchanged at Indian banks outside India. Not all people are making trips back home every few months. We only came back from India in September and got some Indian currency!
