Deakins shoes are sensible, smart and hard wearing and will not affect my child's education in any way. They are suitable for both summer and winter. The alternative for girls are ballet type shoes which don't last very long and are totally unsuitable for winter. Don't really understand the rule about not being allowed anything even slightly over the ankle either!! It's about time the school concentrated on the children's education instead of wasting so much time thinking up silly pointless rules

Maybe teachers should concentrate on academical matters and leave choices of footwear to parents

I think that any Deakin style shoes should be allowed

That school is getting more and more pathetic, which I didn't even know was possible! The school say they're an "outstanding" school, yet all they do is make up stupid rules, and make the kids miserable...
Beyond a joke now

C'mon, really? Probably the most sensible school shoe there is. The SLT should be concentrating on teaching standards, not what the pupils have on their feet! And no reason did this decision? I say we stick by our guns and send our kids in them. They can't put them all in isolation now, can they?! Get real Morley Academy.

They are so sensible is ridiculous to say they can't wear them, my daughters feet are comfy and warm when walking in winter especially.

The brand of shoe shouldn't matter! They are concentrating too much on thier appearance! What should matter is the quality of education they give to the children not what they wear on there feet! Absolutely ridiculous!
