The science is there! Kids need to be back in school IN PERSON and it doesn’t pose a huge threat to adults. New info came out yesterday saying that kids are not transmitting this like they speculated!

In-person learning should be a choice we can make for the sake of our children's future.

These are the kids who need this the most. Only the kids going to private school will have the opportunity to learn. Very unfair for the kids who truly need this the most.

YES! Every family should be able to choose. Thank goodness children do NOT play an active role in spreading Covid - we now know it's safe for kids. And if any families want to stay home -- they should have that choice. Please also allow families who want/need their kids to resume school to have the choice to go back to campus!

I can work from home, but that doesn’t make it any easier to ensure that my children are doing what they should. Plus virtual learning is not a level playing field in any way.

Parents should be given a choice! My children did not do well with the virtual learning and resources made available this Spring. We as parents tried so hard, but it seemed like computers were always crashing, cell phones were drained of battery quickly during zoom calls, internet would be overloaded and crash with two working parents and four kids at home.

Online learning is an inadequate substitution for the classroom.

Please open up our school to on campus learning. We need to consider teachers ESSENTIAL workers!!! Online learning is a poor substitute for the classroom.

I 100% agree with all of this!! I’m a former elementary teacher for 20 years, a parent, and a grandparent of a rising first grader at Dan Mills. For the benefit of these children, it is imperative that you send them back to school!

Schools must be open for children to learn!! The risk of them not being in the classroom is real and they will get too far behind. I worry for these children if they are not in the classroom with one on one instruction and they learn from their peers too!! Open the schools!!

You all sound crazy to send kids back in August. You all don't show any concern for the adult staff in the building and really any concern for the students. It's all about,”I want my kids to go back!” And you really don't even try to see how serious this ca get. Let's say one household sends 5 kids to 4 separate schools and they are infected. Now those kids go to each one of those schools and exposes everyone in that building for at least 7 hours. Now we have a huge mess! I agree that there is more that needs to be done for support of students with special needs, but let's be serious people. Going back to school in August or September is just too much of a risk. I refuse to sign this.
