This makes me sad. If this was to happen to my son Stanley’s garden I would be very upset. x

Can’t believe how they are treating you. I think it’s a disgrace. We had a similar thing with my mums memorial on my brothers grave. Support you 100%

I think it's awful people still grieve for many many years and there way of coping is to put stuff on there loved ones resting place. We have to pay alot of money for the plot so they have there right to put what they like on his resting place.

A consultation process is clearly missing here. The parish council should postpone the removal of items and arrange a suitable time whereby everyone’s opinion is sought. What’s the rush?

I will never understand this kind of attitude. They should think at what they can do with all the streets in Sileby, because they look horrendous, they should look at the green spaces around Sileby that are not well preserved, they should do something about the crazy traffic around the village, all this things put the people safety in danger!! Leave the poor families alone and leave the poor souls rest in peace!!

Let families put memorials on their families headstones. They are not hurting anyone and it’s their way of giving something to their loved ones. Take that away from them is devastating.

If it's your loved ones space what you put on it is up to you, not the council.

Leaving tributes is at a gravestone/memorial is important for grieving families. I really can't understand this.

I think when you have paid to lay your love ones to rest you should be allowed to put nice things on and have it look how you want it too.
Its not offending anybody its trying to help the people who go see and pay respect of the koved one and makes them feel better with there personal touch .

The council need to retract this decision. The absolute lack of clarity, communication and consideration is shocking. This is one of the only ways parents can grieve and express love for their children and it is an experience nobody should have to go through. The council have added the ultimate insult to what is already a devastating loss.

Disgusting if this goes ahead, with the amount of money paid for the plot we should be able to respect our love one however we wish.

My family and I also visit my baby daughters resting place regularly and we’re all devastated about what the council are trying to do as visiting her with ornaments, teddies and windmills is how we deal with with our loss and not being able to do this doesn’t just effect me it effects my two daughter who like to visit with gifts for there sister! What is the harm in making a sad place a bright and beautiful one as long as it’s kept maintained? The only harm this causes is to the people who have lost loved one and are probably still grieving!
