Please let the uniformity at Mass be to Kneel all together during the traditional parts of the Mass where kneeling was the rubric for Centuries.
Thank you and God bless you, Bishop Perez

I cannot in right conscience support a liturgical change that was authored/promoted the office of the liturgy at the time when J. Glenn Murray was its director. He has since been found to have improperly touched a minor.

So long as I am forbidden from kneeling during the Communion Rite during the Novus Ordo mass, I will exclusively be attending the Tridentine Mass.

The result of this has been a more divided church, not more unification. The purpose of updating these policies should improve how the sacredness of the liturgy, not destroy our Church.

We will be kneeling in reverence for the Holy Eucharist. We need to differentiate ourselves in order to reach others as we are called to do. These actions speak louder than words.

Signing a petition like this directed toward your excellency is not normally the sort of thing I would do, but this is an issue very near to my heart. The sensus fidelium is speaking, please hear it!

As stated in the letter, there are scriptural reasons for kneeling. While standing is another traditional posture of prayer, kneeling is the proper thing to do when praying. Especially before the Real Presence of Christ, out Pascal Victim.

One daily communicant told me he was going to stop coming to Mass. I showed him the footnotes in the Bishop’s letter to reassure him that the Bishop anticipated those who would continue to kneel. Today at Mass the priest again took time during Mass to tell us how like Peter we need to accept we are wrong(to kneel) and stand so as to be in union. I never would have thought I would be made to feel excluded from the faithful for following a sincere conviction on kneeling after receiving communion. I don’t even care if others stand- i just want to be able to kneel and not be called out as though doing so means I am disobedient and excluded from the community of the faithful. Made a spiritual communion today bc I thought I’d burst into tears.

According to the footnotes on the Bishop's letter, "5 ...a communicant is never to be denied Holy Communion if they choose to kneel. GIRM, 160;
6 Standing for the singing of the Communion Hymn is the normative posture of the Catholic Church in the United States; however, this posture directive is not to be enforced so rigidly that those who wish to sit or kneel would not feel free to do so. c.f. footnote 1 (CCC, 1140, c.f. Sacrosanctm concilium [SC], 27);
7 "The prescription of the [GIRM] no. 43, is intended, on the one hand, to ensure within broad limits a certain uniformity of posture within the congregation for the various parts of the celebration of Holy Mass, and on the other, to not regulate posture rigidly in such a way that those who wish to kneel or sit would no longer be free." Cardinal Francis Arinze, Prefect for the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments (CDWDS), Prot. n. 855/03/L, May 26, 2003, as quoted in the BCL Newsletter,vol. XXXIX, July 2003, pg. 133"
So, thanks anyway, Bishop, but I am going to feel free to give proper reverence to Our Lord during Mass.

If someone wants to kneel for the body of Christ you had better let them. I can't imagine standing before God explaining why I didn't allow people to kneel for Christ's body. For shame!
