Your Eminence, I recall when Bishop Pilla sent this change to our posture. I begged my Pastor at the time to not enforce this. So many reasons to support kneeling, but my main is "This moment is the most intimate of moments of my week with our Lord...I am His sheep and I listen for His voice." Perhaps men experience this most intimate moment different from women? As a wife and a mother, we listen to many voices all week long. We make time to pray alone daily, but even those moments are open to interruption. I ask that you consider the Faithful who desire to bury their eyes, thoughts and souls in the Lord for these moments are precious and few. My dear Pastor at the time allowed me to kneel upon return to my pew. I am grateful for his support. I ask that you consider the posture of the Faithful to be what it has been before Bishop Pilla's risen 2003 policy. Encourage the Faithful to be intimate with the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Thank you, your Eminence, for your time.

With all that is going wrong in our church, the bishop picks this to make an issue of!!! Let people kneel if they are so inclined. At least they’re still coming to church. Nothing should be done to discourage those who are trying hard to remain in the church. Just stop it!!!

I will continue to kneel. I do not understand why uniformity has to be in showing less respect and devotion than more.

Fear of the Lord. Couldn't we all use a little of that?

This should be allowed and respected by the priests and or bishops that those who wish to kneeling when receiving communion should be allowed to do so and not reprimanded for this great and wonder show of humility and reverence.

This letter is a perfect way to express the strong desire we Catholics have for the reason for kneeling. Please allow this to be the voice for all our churches and their members/ parishioners.

Please, the uniformity argument does not hold water. Let us return to kneeling, as we all did in the past.

Kneeling is a sign of reverence for the Eucharist and a time for personal prayer and meditation.

Today there was a baptism at Mass and apparently there were non-Catholics present. They stood when we stood, they sat when we sat but they wouldn't kneel when we knelt. We need to kneel!

Over thirty years of daily Mass I can't imagine not kneeling directly after Holy Communion. At that time I pray for the grace to become a living Host. It is by that grace that I can go out and change the world. This new rule is tearing me apart inside. Jesus told St. Faustina "They treat Me as a dead object" (1447 Diary)

We are so tired of being led away from the Catholic belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the host, his body and blood, soul and divinity. Stop the Vatican II madness!
