I live adjacent to a private golf club in Madison, NJ. Although it is closed, a number of people are walking around on it (?). Why not open just the course to golf??

I believe that the golf courses in NJ should remain open presuming they implement the changes discussed in this petition. Golf is a means of obtaining exercise and is a sport that can be conducted with good social distancing. Each player plays with his or her own clubs and their own ball. Thus, I believe the sport represents no greater risk than going for a walk or run.

As long as carts are cleaned and their is only one rider except for a spouse there is no reason not to open courses. Golf is an individual sport if you keep 6’ from each other and leave the flag stick in the hole

Dear Governor:
I am requesting that you open all NJ golf courses just like the neighboring states. While I understand the need not to congregate in large groups and keep social distancing, golf is played in 200 acres and is very well suited for distancing. Having the golf course open would also allow people to destress a bit and get some much needed Vitamin D and exercise!
Please Governor. I ask you to reconsider this option.

When we play gold, we are never near each other. I am usually in the woods or someone's back yard. This sport is the original social distancing. Keeping the courses open will generate cash and save marriages. Thanks
