Open the courses. I've been in NC this spring and the courses are open and have been safe to play with the precautions being taken.

Gov Murphy, please allow the golf courses in south jersey to open. While I realize that it’s almost impossible to social distance in north jersey, our club Moorestown Field Club put safeguards in place the first week of March. No carts, walking carts, rakes. Everything closed except the bathroom. Please allow us some exercise & enjoyment at this stressful time. Rural south jersey should have different guidelines. Sincerely, Pat DeHart

Governor Murphy,
I realize that you are going through a lot right now, but closing the state's golf courses was a knee-jerk reaction that cannot be scientifically substantiated. No evidence can be presented to demonstrate that a person is more likely to contract COVID-19 while playing golf than participating in any of the other "activities" deemed to be essential during this outbreak, or even by staying home with other individuals that go out to perform these essential activities. At this point, NJ residents have been on lock down for more than a month and, for the most part, can be trusted to exercise social distancing procedures. On a golf course, it is almost harder to actually break the social distancing rules than follow them, as golfers would intentionally have make a concentrated effort to stand closer to each other than normal. As states gradually re-open (even NY has opened golf courses at this point) your inaction on this subject will only serve to continue to anger your voter base and WILL be remembered during the next election.
Thank You,

There is not another group/class of people who know better about following “rules” or who can be better trusted to obey the “honor system” than golfers! Buying booze is less risky than playing golf?! You whiffed on this one. Take a Mulligan, and open golf courses.
Please reopen ASAP we need fresh air & exercise
