Some Governors are so intent on keeping their states locked down tight, and it has nothing to do with keeping their citizens safe from the coronavirus pandemic, it’s for political reason. It's because they're terrified that a rebounding economy will Increase President Trump’s chances for a reelection success on November 3 and so they choose to punish their citizens by not opening their states. Think before you vote: President Trump’s continued economic recovery as evidence of his administration's success or Joe Biden a Career politician, ALL Talk No Action, Who has Nothing to Show for 47 years in Washington, D.C., it’s a “no brainer”.

NY and Pa are open for golf. 4 players with only one player per cart. same rules as NJ but we can only play with 2 players don't make any cense. he has allowed 10 people to gather at the beach why not 4 players playing golf. ok on my way to pa enjoy your day

On Tuesday afternoon, NJ Senator Sweeney and five other state senators — Paul Sarlo, D-Bergen; Teresa Ruiz, D-Essex; Steven Oroho, R-Sussex; Declan O’Scanlon, R-Monmouth; and Troy Singleton, D-Burlington — issued a joint statement asking the commission to consider allowing “low-risk businesses and industries” to “safely reopen now.” - per NJ.com

Golf is probably one of the most social distance-type sports available, especially is we walk. No need to jibber-jabber with anyone else, it's just you and the ball. Out in the fresh air and sunshine. Enough already! Open up the courses and the practice ranges while keeping the social distancing practices intact.

We obviously all want to see our golf courses reopened, so many great reasons and points have been made, it’s common sense to all of us, especially after our esteemed Governor reopened boating in coordination with NY & CT, but he can’t reopen golf courses as other local states have done? Sure, we can drive to NY or PA to play, which is exactly what we shouldn’t be doing to help prevent the spread of the virus. I have been a proud NJ resident for my entire life, this unfortunate virus has and will continue to have a devastating impact on our state. Current leadership of this state has my family moving up our timeframe to move south, as so many others have already done, sad. Common sense, please.

Wow ! Today Murphy appointed a team of experts to decide when and how to restart the NJ economy ... only after 5 weeks of repeating his "stay at home" plan, and after 850,000 NJ residents filed for unemployment. NJ is in financial trouble. Murphy is begging the Federal government for money. Maybe Murphy wants to keep Trump's NJ golf courses closed as leverage for a Federal bailout ?

Murphy needs a reality check. In regard to opening golf courses, Murphy stated today that 'he does not golf much … and he does not want people congregating inappropriately'. Obvious proof that giving an incompetent governor sole authority to declare executive orders is very, very dangerous. Any lawyers / golfers that can provide information regarding who we can contact to override the governor's orders ? In the meantime, let's all visit PA and NY golf courses this weekend !

I don't get it. Most people seem to be in agreement that golf is a relatively safe place to be during this pandemic. It gives those of us who enjoy it, an outlet in an otherwise very restricted environment. It also helps the people who own and run golf courses keep their businesses running which should hopefully make it easier for recovery when things start to get back to normal. The hypocrisy is that when it comes to federal law and our countries immigration rules, Murphy defies them, so why should anyone care about his executive order. At this point he looks like he's doing it just because he can and not because it really helps what he is trying to achieve. It's a trying time and it calls for some extraordinary measures, but please use common sense and don't prevent people from doing the safe things that they should still be able to do.
