It’s outrageous to expect students utilize the library for several hours at a time not to eat anything except for what is provided at Cup & Chaucer.

Not only am I signing this because the rule is ridiculous, but also because it is encouraging students to not eat while vigorously studying

I want my food in my library, and especially during finals week.

But really. This is discriminatory against commuting students who don't have access to the ridiculously priced meal plans at Pitt, and who don't have money for $10 Panera.

I do not believe I have ever felt more passionately about an issue ever.

At least allow food on the ground floor; we cannot be expected to study as much as Pitt asks while simultaneously having to take time out to get food. There simply are not enough hours in the day

This is unreasonable. Some people pull all-nighters on the regular during finals week, and others study through their meals. This is not only an unreasonable rule, but one that has been implemented during the worst possible time frame for the well-being of the student population.

Students need to both eat and study in order to do well in classes. Not allowing any food in the library is an absolutely absurd rule that students shouldn’t have to worry about on top of stress of classes, work, post-college life, etc. Students pay so much money to attend this school already, half of the elevators work nor does the WiFi so it makes no sense why food from Hillman would be eliminated as well. Thank you.

It is not only unfair that we can no longer bring food in but it is also hypocritical of them to ban food when they have a cafe that sells food and drink

If I have to pay thousands of dollars to go here I think I should be able to bring food to the place I work super hard to get good grades at.

Seriously? I used to order chicken nuggs and pizza and have it delivered when I needed an all nighter. Fix this
