My wife and I are from Canada and have been coming to the tournament since 2005. Sorry to hear they won’t let us play there anymore. It has been a great venue for the tournaments. The tournaments have brought in a lot of money for the local business.

I relocated to Erie from Triangle area of North Carolina, where Triangle Table Tennis club (38 permanent tables!) is open 7 days a week from morning till late evening. Many people, including myself, went there to play 5-6 days a week! It was a huge disappointment for me to learn that here in Erie local authorities do not care about table tennis at all! Even these mere 2 times a week very late in the evening are going to be cancelled soon! Very sad ....

I would hope the people in charge would have a change of heart.

The Erie Table Tennis Club helps to put McDowell and Millcreek School system on a country wide map with first class facilities, attracting national talents during tournaments, not to mention the great local following and recreational usage, and adding to the local economy!

There was once a movie called "The Bad News Bears". "Let them play". "Let them play". "Let them play".

The school is part of the community, right? There must be a compromise that will work.

The Table Tennis Club is a fantastic place to get exercise, meet new people and enjoy a very competitive sport. The McDowell Gym is an excellent facility and we appreciate using it very much. Please don't shut down this well run program -- Sam does a fantastic job. Rather than moving removing the club, I suggest inspiring more students to come to club, even going so far as providing instructors. Canada has excellent programs where young people have 5 or more instructors and they excel at the tournaments. I would like to see the same happen at McDowell. Please reconsider removing the club and come up with a compromise where it can stay in the McDowell gym and work on developing these young people.

Please keep this club open, it provides many opportunities to the community(young and old)for recreation. Their tournaments bring in revenue to neighboring businesses, such as restaurants, hotels, gas stations to name a few.

Please find room to store the Table Tennis tables near the McDowell Intermediate High School gym. At 69, I am one of the Senior members of the Table Tennis club and hold a Millcreek Gold Card. I have played Table Tennis at MIHS since retiring in 2010. Table Tennis is outstanding exercise. And it provides an opportunity get out and have fun with players of all ages and gender. You should do more to promote this activity instead of eliminating it.
