Allow Dual Language Immersion Teachers into America!

We want to continue to welcome and learn from our international teachers!

Please allow dual immersion teachers!

We need these native language teachers both for their knowledge of the language and the culture!

As a world language chair, and startalk instructor, I can’t imagine the damage this order will do to language programs across the country. The day we need more personnel attuned to external cultures for strategic & economic interests is the day we will rue this order!

The J1 teacher program is critical for more than just Utah. Indiana truly relies on these teachers!

Some of the most educationally successful programs in the U.S. are Two-Way / Dual Language programs! But these programs are predicated in the strength of the teaching staff who deliver the academic program in two or more languages! We need language models from other countries to strengthen the linguistic capacity of our teachers in the U.S. We must allow talented teachers from other countries to work in our communities bringing us this enriched linguistic and cultural capital to our schools!

It should be mandated that everyone learns a second language.

This is such a valuable program please help keep it.

Our children deserve better. Let the teachers come.

This will directly impact all 4 of my children’s education. We started this dual immersion program and had to sacrifice other things to be in it. All the sacrifice would be for naught if the program fell apart. This program produces amazing and smart capable children and will only enhance our society. Please listen to us and let these teachers come, stay and teach

Language Immersion programs provide all our American children with a world-class education. We need these international teachers in our classrooms!

We need them more than they need us

The children who graduate from this program will continue on a course of excellence throughout their lives. Allowing them native French teachers allows them to become ambassadors of America to the world. They will change the narrow view that most of the world gets to see of Americans, as monolingual, under-educated, strangers to the many cultures and languages of the world. Programs like this do great good and handicapping them does great harm.

The Dual immersion program helps the American kids to become more prepare to make this country better, and more productive.

We rely on international teachers for immersion programs as well as other positions in K-12 schools, from rural to metropolitan areas. We are currently experiencing a critical shortage of teachers. Many students served by international teachers live in very poor communities in our country. All students deserve a high quality academic preparation.

Teachers are needed to help our students learn. Their education is in danger.
