Allow Dual Language Immersion Teachers into America!

Native speakers are necessary for dual language programs, and the needs cannot be filled solely by teachers in this country. Allow international teachers fill the void.

Our students need foreign language teachers who are native speakers. Teachers who do not have this ability are not strong teachers and cannot teach language correctly or teach the important cultural part of language essential to our students’ learning.

I totally think our children need the opportunity to learn another language. Learning when they are young is much better than as an adult.

Please let the teachers come

Keeping the dual language immersion teachers from their students will create a void that cannot be met with local alternatives. This will prevent students across Utah from receiving the education they have been promised.

I think this is a great opportunity for kids. It’s so beneficial for their brain development. Most of the world is able to speak more than one language. I wish I had the same opportunity as a child.

We do not have enough American teachers to fill these critical positions! We need our international guest teachers!

Hoping for our congress to take action and change Trumps ruling.

The dual language immersion program needs these teachers. Our children need these teachers!

The dual immersion program MUST have native teachers to offer the benefits inherent to true immersion language acquisition.

We need our teachers!!! Having a native Brazilian speaker allows our children to have a strong foundation in the language, and be able to quickly adapt to different accents, instead of simply listening to an English teacher speak in Portuguese. They are also exposed to the Brazilian culture in a direct way, and are able to more fully cultivate an appreciation for international relationships. Please allow our teachers to be here!❤

Dual language immersion programs are incredibly successful. Recommend quarantine for two weeks prior to start of school year.

These children have worked so hard to get this far. Native Chinese speakers are critical in the educating of Chinese immersion students because it is such a difficult language. Please help them be successful in yielding the fruits of their labors!

I am so glad that my kids were able to learn a second language. Let’s not mess it up for the new group of kids.

We love our DLI teachers. We need them in the USA

My son's teacher is supposed to arrive this month to get ready for the August 13 start date and now we don't know if he'll have a teacher. Please help us! These teachers can't be substituted, they are highly qualified. I consider our children's educators as essential workers.
