Allow Dual Language Immersion Teachers into America!

Not allowing Dual Immersion teachers into the country will be devastating for the kids who have spent many years working so hard in these programs. Please allow teachers for these programs. They can't just be found here in the US. Native speaking teachers make a significantly difference in allowing kids to learn accents and culture.

We need teachers on J-1 visas!

Very important for our kids.

My son has been part of the duel immersion program for the past 10 years and I can attest to the importance of teachers speaking and teaching in there native language.

It is imperative that we allow these educators to enter our country and help with the language learners by oc our children.

My daughter is only 8, and her French accent is already SO strong and natural sounding. That’s entirely due to the DIL teachers she’s had FROM France. It makes all the difference for so many reasons. Where Utah already ranks lower in the nation where education is concerned, it seems unimaginable to consider cutting (or severely modifying!) a shining star in our state. As the old saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

We need our Native Dual Language Immersion Teachers!! I have 2 students in the DLI program and it would be devastating for their education to lose their amazing teachers.

We need teachers from the target language to teach their language.

Students need international teachers!

As a mother of 3 DLI students, I feel their instruction from foreign DLI teachers has been invaluable in their lives. Why mainstream education in America doesn’t include foreign language instructions as part of their core elementary requirements is still a mystery to me. The majority of the world is well versed in other cultures and multiple languages, but American still lags behind in that area.

Native speaking teaches are the best teachers for the DLI program, we need to keep them.

We need immersion teachers!!

My daughter has benefited so much from being in the dual language program. Dual language teachers bring so much to our children. Don’t take it away.

We have a teacher shortage already. By denying us the right to provide cultural, language proficient teachers, we are denying our students the ability to be active global citizens in an international economic arena.

As a DLI teacher and a parent of DLI students-I feel very strongly about supporting the Dual Immersion programs. It would be devastating to our schools, communities, students, and families if we aren’t able to get proper teachers to help facilitate this amazing program.
