I am starting this petition to get local councils to allow the use of different colour writing on baby and children headstones. We are currently having issues with our local council as they wont allow pink writing on the headstone we have designed even though there is already headstones within the cemetery with blue or pink writing. I think this is unacceptable that they can refuse us and other grieving parents the right to choose the colour we want on our headstone. When in the cemetery they have allowed other familys the right to use pink or blue. I would understand if it was a object which causes a health and safety risk but it isnt. Is it wrong to have a girl or boy colour writing on a headtone?

Ridiculous, I fully support the parents and hope they get to make their little girls gravestone writing whatever colour writing they like, try going through something so awful to be faced with this.
There is other headstones that have coloured writing up the cemetery. Surly the rules can’t just change. Us as parents have suffered enough without fighting Norwich City Council
It a place of sorrow and reflection to the person buried there, it shouldn't matter to anybody else.
I appreciate rules but as long as the writing on the headstone is not an eye sore I don’t see the harm in changing the colour?
Honestly, what difference does it make? If it helps a grieving parent feel better about the fact they have not only lost a child but a massive part of their heart then leave them be. Bloody council hierarchy thinking they are above everyone else.
Please maķe this acceptable. I can't believe this is a problem.

My daughter is buried in the same cemetery only today have I seen graves with pink and blue writing so please please stop treating this family differently and allow their daughter to have a headstone of their wishing after all it's the last thing they can give her :'( Good luck
