I live in Catoosa County by less than 1000 feet of the city of Ringgold. This is crazy we can’t have backyard hens. There’s a cow farm directly across the street behind my across the street neighbors house. We can smell the cows and hear the cows daily. So chickens should be no different.
Chickens eat bugs and keep the food chain in check. Especially with the foreseen food shortages per the US government.

I would love to own a couple of hens they would help supply eggs for food

Every surrounding county can have chickens except for ours! We need to be able to provide for our families in time of uncertainty.

Barbara has my full support on this. We are already seeing a reduction in food supplies and the cost of food has went up significantly. There may be a time that the only thing that feeds us is a few Chickens in the backyard. Looking for solutions now instead of waiting until it's too late is just a common sense thing to do.
