Let's praise these kids instead of penalizing them for graduating early. They should be proud of themselves for completing something sooner than later so that they can start the careers sooner!

Anyone should be able to walk, even if they graduate early. They did the extra work to move on to college quicker.

This is a common policy at high schools, and I think it is absolutely ridiculous! I think to some degree, the policy has to do with finances. Schools get state money based on enrollment. When a student finishes early, the school looses those dollars. To some degree, I think the policy is an incentive to keep them at school so they get the dollars they have budgeted for. The policy is rather controlling and doesn't align with principles of education. The schools need to identify an alternate solution to funding concerns resulting from students who choose to fulfill their graduation requirements early and move on to the next phase of their education, training, and adult life.

STUDENTS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO WALK IF THEY EARNED IT! REGARDLESS IF THEY EARNED IT SOONER THAN OTHERS! BETTER THAN BEING LATE!

I find this to be the most terrible thing that I have heard in a long time. Students who work hard and graduate early should be able to walk with their classmates

I think all students who complete their high school obligations should get to join in the graduation ceremony.

ALL students should walk with there class. It's a celebration of hard work and dedication of an individual. It should not be a discipline of there achievements. Each should stand tall and be proud of such an amazing accomplishments. Unity should be proud of each student as some accomplish there goals and dreams earlier.

You would think a school system would be proud of students who over achieve and meet goals sooner than expected. This is not just the student's graduations, it's the parents who sacrificed too. They want to see their kids take that walk just like any other parent.

Every graduate deserves a commencement ceremony.

I think that the hardworking, good kids who push themselves to graduate early deserve to walk the stage and earn their diploma. Why let a few bad apples ruin this life changing moment for the good ones?

This is a no brainer. Just add the stipulation that the board is able to deny any student participation rights and you are covered. Let's celebrate ALL students who did what they were supposed to do.

All graduates should have the opportunity to participate in the commencement ceremonies!! They have earned this. The University of Illinois allows their December grads to participate in May. Please change this policy!!!!

They did the work. They deserve what they were promised. Why would any adult with a degree ( knowing the importance of a graduation ceremony want to deny a student that same acknowledgement with their peers.
