Overnight access is crucial for install sometimes too!!!! Don’t take this valuable work time from your students, especially those with jobs after class that need access to space and materials to work on projects after their shifts!!!!!

My overnight access to the studio is incredibly important to me and many others, especially within the fashion department. This new rule is classist because it doesn’t consider the students who have to work multiple jobs during the day and work at night. The students with many privileges can avoid this rule that will ultimately ruin students who are lower income. Absolutely disgusting SAIC.

For the administration to cite lack of funds as a reason for cutting back on a vital student service while we pay more than any other art school is absurd. There are plenty of funds, they are just allocated poorly. Invest in students not fat cat administrators.

I have never once completed a final without using the studio after hours. Having a job which schedules shifts during the day as well as school means that often, the later evening is the only time i can work in the studio during the week.
