The bowling green needs to stay. It’s used by a lot of the Bearsden older community. Please keep it. Don’t make the older generation even more isolated.

My late father used this facility extensively and his quality of life for far the better for it. He played outdoors bowls in summer and indoor bowls in winter. Without the indoor bowls he would have gone for literally months at at time without any physical activity or routine.

The indoor bowling facility is a lifeline for some of the most vulnerable in society, please ensure that it remains.

My relatives use this facility and have made some great friends at this club. It really is a lifeline to them and would be devastated if it were to close. We need more clubs and facilities like this for the older generation to keep them fit and active.

The allander complex should be for everyone especially the older and younger in the community. The older community in Bearsden use the bowling club regularly and it is essential for their physical and mental wellbeing.

This decision should be overturned. This facility is paid for by our money & should reflect what is genuinely needed in our community.

It would be such a shame to lose the indoor bowls for the Bearsden and Milngavie community.

This club provides a vital active, social environment, particularly for older people in our community. Social inclusion and engagement has been proven to be a fundamental part of health and well being in older age. The Council should therefore see this facility as a priority.

This a very important part of the present Allander Sports Centre for residents in Bearsden and must be retained in any new centre as promised.

So much research has been done that shows the effects of loneliness in the older generation. Something as simple as bowling can mean so much to these people.

Please rebuilt the bowling at the Allander. It is very important our community. You made a compromise of rebuilding the Allander and that includes everything at the Allander. Thaks.
