More than just a bowling club it's a social club for people of all ages with different situations!

It's unacceptable not to replace the bowling greens. The greens are used by our elderly community and is a great way to prevent loneliness and encourage physical activity. The council claim they cannot afford to replace them and yet the councils income will be increasing from the new houses built beside the sports centre. Rather than demolish the existing centre, they must consider refurbishing it in order to maintain the current facilities.

Please include an indoor bowling facility as there is not another one nearby and it's ideal for physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for older people.

Indoor bowling suits men, women and children and can be played in all weather. This makes sense.

The older people ( who tend to make up the majority or bowlers) are entitled to sports facilities too.

I know my dad bowls regularly in the winter months at the Allander most of his friends from Milngavie bowling club do as they move slot of their games there in the winter to keep it an all year round sport. This would be a massive loss to this community. Please please re-think these plans EDC

Remember it's not only a sport's facility, it's a place where people off all ages can come together, a bowling club is a great way to help with loneliness.

The club has been thriving for more than 40 years at the Allander. We have more than 300 active members. We have been promised like for like for 10 years. This decision by EDC is a disgrace and they should be ashamed.

My elderly neighbour plays down there and it keeps her fit and she is able to meet her other elderly friends. They all have a great time. To close this would be a disgrace

Indoor bowling can be invaluable to the older person. It provides a safe indoor activity for all, but especially those older. It is often the one thing that they can continue to do, despite failing fitness and mind.

This well used facility needs to be kept as promised!
