The indoor bowling should definitely be kept, it is such a well used facility.

Most of the indoor bowlers are retired folk and this recreational activity is very important to their health and well-being, especially during the winter months.

The Council promised the Indoor Bowling facility would be kept. Please keep your promise. By keeping facilities like these the council prevent Isolation and increase physical activity in later life, which research has shown reduces costs of other council services such as social care. Don’t be short sighted and make sure an indoor bowls facility is included in the New Allander Sports Complex.

This needs to stay open for older people or people who don’t have family. It gives them social activity and keeps them fit.

Always the same-when so called improvement leaves us all worse off than before.

It is a well used facility and should be kept as promised by EDC when all this talk of rebuild was started.

The Allander Indoor Bowling Club is an important meeting place for many elderly bowlers which affects both their physical wellbeing but also their mental wellbeing as it keeps them in contact with other members of a similar age group.

Such facilities are so important, especially in an ageing community. If it is not viable to run an indoor bowling facility, would it be possible to create a multi use surface or flexible space that could be bowling in winter and an alternate use eg roller rink, in summer?

Terrible decision, this is a lifeline for some people, providing both exercise and friendship. EDC are reneging on their promise of keeping the facility

It’s important for all ages to have access to sports facilities.Losing the indoor bowling facilities is unfair to many.

Disgraceful!!! There is little enough for some seniors to do. This is a vital resource.

It is very wrong of EDC to remove the bowling facilities that is very popular. You should not be removing anything that the local residents enjoy - we pay a lot in council tax and if anything you should be adding to existing facilities- not taking away
