There is little enough for the older folk in Bearsden and Milngavie. How about stop taking away ground to build yet more houses and do something for the community

Please consider a bowling hall a lifeline for many older people. This is not progress.

Why are you not replacing like with like. This is obviously an important social sporting facility for elderly locals who without thid would be more isolated and prone to loneliness .

Why on earth would they not include this???? Too much focus on mummy and baby stuff. Please remember older people and those who are less able.

As far as I know the councillors have not actually made a decision yet. In addition to signing this petition write to your councillors so they see how strong feelings are.

Is Cala Homes now in complete
charge of EDC?
An investigation is long overdue.

It is disappointing that the Council are failing to see further than their budget plans and the greater fallout of not having an indoor Bowling club included in the proposed new build of the Sports Centre.. The promises made with a “like for like” policy seems to have been sidelined together with the excuse of rising costs. So sad.

Please make this provision available for those who need it most to be included in community and exercise programmes and retain their social lives.

Facilities like indoor bowing are a lifeblood to some parts of a community. The Allander facilities are used by people across the region and their bowing alternatives are few in the winter. Do the right thing!
