Prevent the Closure of Allander Indoor Bowling Club

Love this place

With an ever increasing ageing population, it seems very short sighted to close this facility. We should be trying to keep the older generation active and involved.

One of the few amenities for ekderly

This would be sorely missed by the elderly and might be the only time they get company during the week doing something they enjoy

Why close the only facility like this , we are trying to keep older people active .. they can’t play 5 a side !

Please keep this vital facility open

The local folk rely on these amenities

This is such a well used resource it makes no sense to close. A municipal sports centre should not be just for the Gym Bunnies!

Elderly members of the community rely on this during the winter. Re-evaluate

I cannot believe this valued sport to so, so many people might be taken away from them . We should be encouraging sport for all age groups

My mother was a member for many years in her retirement. This faciltiy must not be allowed to close

Retired people require exercise and social contact and we have no other indoor bowling in the district!! What happened to "like for like??"

This is one of the very few sporting facilities left in the Bearsden/Milngavie area particularly for the older patrons. Many senior citizens also find this a social gathering in mornings, afternoons and evenings, for many it is the only social activity they have left and to remove it is just cruel.

I appeal to our local East Dunbartonshire Council to reconsider and find finding to retain this valuable leisure/sport facility.

The loss of a truly community facility for short term savings, will no doubt be reflected in future local elections
