The university has officially confirmed that all assessments during the semester test week are now prohibited. This change secures a necessary period of focus for the student body and reflects a more balanced approach to our academic responsibilities. We should remain attentive to ensure this policy is implemented consistently across …
Student's have been overworked during semester test week. We are expected to study, catch up with work that either has not been sufficiently explained via Blackboard and then produce satisfactory results. The workload is overwhelming and lecturers do no consider that their module is not the only module we have. We end up falling behind due to constant assessments because these are the only form of getting marks. Our days have been made longer and our lecture week ends on Sundays
Not sure how this will help NAS faculty, because we don’t have A test Week , our tests are scattered over a few weeks

I feel like it is a bit too much to do everything in test week, and out marks end up being not as good as they could be if we had that week to study also instead of attending to other tests/ worksheets/ pracs unrelated to the assessment work. Online class also makes things a lot harder

All the facuties must get organised and plan student's tests and assignments so that they are spaced out periodically for the following reason:
1. Less pressure on us students
2. Less pressure on lecturers
3. Students will do well in organized tests and assignments
4. This will bring goodwill ( good name) to the university
5. The university will be able to keep the existing high standard

These assignments are hectic require and and they a lot of time and group interaction, given the current unusual learning conditions at Tuks students are finding it hard to engage with the content independently.
