Developers cannot keep getting their own way and destroying history and jobs of an area.

There are a few spaces left for craftsman. This is a historical building used to make objects both beautiful and functional. We do not need more luxury residences.

We need employment as well as residence. London has enough 'luxury' residences.

Sometimes enough is enough. Londoners are being forced out of London and it is time this is stopped.

Big money is in danger of expunging all character and historic interest from London. Spitalfields is uniquely interesting both culturally and architecturally. Let's keep it so.

Build your extension somewhere else. This building is good as it is.

Saving industrial property for future generations is probably more important than saving domestic properties, because architecture of industrial buildings is often not appreciated and overlooked by people.

No more luxury flats in an area that is already over-provided with flats that local people can't afford. This building is part of the local heritage, it is a place of work for local people and should not be converted to a place of residence for rich people. Fish Island is a conservation area and this fact alone should mean that the Algha works building is part of that conservation and should be left alone.

As many said, we need to preserve our heritage and NEED more workplaces, especially skills that are otherwise in danger of dying out and/ or leaving the country

Too many of these wonderful industrial buildings have been lost to greedy developers who have no interest in local historic buildings, local crafts and skills, their interest is in merely making profits, and selling more luxury flats, of which there are already too many.So let us keep this conservation area safe from being ruined.

The east end doesn't need more houses. It needs more jobs, training and passing on of skills. Alphaworks does this. Please save them.

Our industrial heritage and the people who continue to work locally are being threatened and made redundant by estate agents and greed. Please help resist this ruination of our great city.
