I have worked with Algha on an eyewear project and the building, the staff and thei over 100 year old equipment is very exceptional and unique and would be a massive loss for London! This place is an institution which has to be saved!!

Craftsmanship of this quality needs to be preserved - we are likely to loose other workshops and all 'stylish' premises as a nostalgia for the industrial past remains a fashion. Ironical really - to 'consume' the idea of something while destroying the essence of the authentic thing!!

There is no need for more luxury flats in London we need to keep this business alive so m ore people can take up the chance to learn this specalist trade.

We should be supporting this heritage building and supporting the framemakers, not sticking something inappropriate on the top of it. Also agree with Miriam Margoyles. Many people come to London to experience the history, the arts and crafts. the beautiful quirkiness of older buildings and craft communities such as this. So I vote to keep the flat roof intact.

Small businesses are important to the economy. We should value them and their work-spaces

The reason people come to London is to see the OLD buildings, not new stuff.

This building which is an unique and excellent example of the industry and contributes importantly to this area deserves to be listed and not altered in any way.

Much of London has already been destroyed taking jobs with it. It's vital to retain and cherish what little remains. This is not just a building, what happens inside it is of vital importance.

This place made spectacle frames for my company in 2014 and 2015. They are of the highest calibre, and they are of a type truly, and remarkably, unique. I have visited dozens of times over the past two years, and loved visiting every single time. It is a magical place, even in its now-diminished state, and a hidden national treasure.

Please let us retain at least some of the legacy of this area. We need jobs in Hackney as well as accommodation.

In addition to decent affordable housing Londoners also need the employment afforded by such places as Algha Works!

This is one of the few old industrial buildings still standing in Hackney Wick. If LDDC care about Hackney Wick they should work to preserve its heritage and character.
