Allie was always the highlight of my figure skating career, waiting for us all the get there to ask about our days, and telling us at the end of practices or recitals how good we did.

Wish we had more people like this in our communities...a little generosity goes a long way....Alfie's was more than a little...and he never asked anything in return...this would only be a perfect way to allow his name to live on in the community that he cared so much about.

Alf, was a man with a heart larger than the arena he so loved, & served the Brighton community. I feel it's only fitting to name the arena after Him in his Honor. He'll be forever in our Hearts. RIP my Great friend. My Condolence's to the Family.

My skates will never be so sharp, you made sure with every sharpen there was love and dedication into them. I'll never forget its not the sharpen its the player .. but I always thought you put magic into my skates. May you rest in peace.

Would be a very fitting way to honour a man who spent 75 percent of his life there. Never has one man done so much for hockey and the children who play it

I strongly agree with this, i hope there's support from the Naming Committee & Brighton Council. King Edward can keep the park name, but lets honor our good friend Alf the proper way and give back just a little to the man who asked for nothing but your friendship.

A fantastic idea to commemorate such a great man, and an absolute fixture in the community. Let's make this happen!!!!!!!!
