It is our turn to honour the man who helped every hockey player in this town. Rip Alfie.

This man dedicated every waking moment to the arena- he was happiest when he could help the Kids by offering skate sharpening, equipment and mere advice of the game. He would drop everything if he received a phone call from someone wanting his services. He ate, slept & breathed arena life his whole life - I know this because I am his niece & witnessed him missing family functions etc., to be part of the arena life. There is no man more deserving of this honour!!

Alfie was a mentor, a leader and had a heart of gold. This man gave everything he had for this community and he would be honoured and humbled. Rest in Peace

Alffy spent his entire life at the arena, this would only be fitting to show the respect to a man that did so much for hockey in Brighton and never asked for much if anything in return.. Alfred Gregg Memorial Arena would be a great tribute!

This is great idea. He had great dedication to the Brighton arena I myself remember him as a kid growing up and going to the arena faithfully every Friday night for public skating and also being a close neighbour growing up as well
