Alfie helped the Brighton community in so many ways. We had two boys in hockey and always enjoyed his advise and his stories. If you weren't sure about something in minor hockey, you went to Alf. He made hockey possible for countless numbers of local families

Alf was a coach to my kids, and he helped us out with hockey equipment when we really needed it. He made long canteen hours go by with friendly conversation and he really loved his family. The Brighton arena really is his place and should be named in his honour.
