Alfred dedicated his life to the youth of Brighton and it is only fitting that he should be remembered and honoured in this way .

My two younger kids loved going to watch their older brother play hockey just to see Alfie..it's not the same without him and I feel we should honor him with the place he called home and my oldest even said every rep home game he has he is playing in his honor

Alfie lived at the arena , he gave my son his first pair of hockey skates and a helmet he was also my nabourgh and a great friend

Definately our areana needs to be renamed after this awsome mentor of our community....Alf was a great man and helped many children fulfil their dreams...to be out on that ice...wheather it meant sharpening skates or getting skates and equipment to fit the child because parents could not afford it!! He will be sadly missed...seeing his face at our areana....RIP Alf...

Alfie was our son (Tyler) first hockey coach at the age of 3. He had wonderful patience for a little fella who couldn't even stand up. He encouraged him to keep trying. He kept trying, and enjoyed the game for years to come. When we would see Alf at the arena, he always took the time to say hello, have a little chat, ask about Tyler, and sharpen his skates for free. What a great tribute to him, and his family to name the Brighton arena after a man who reached his hand out to help so many others. It is because of people like him, our world is a much nicer place....Thanks Alf Gregg for the memories.

Alf was a fabulous coach. He was always there for the kids and helped out with equipment for those who could not afford it. He gave respect to his team and in return he got respect from the players and their parents. It would be a great tribute to Alf's memory to have the arena renamed to the Alfred Gregg Memorial Arena!
