This petition is regarding Alder Hey Children's Hospital in the park new build. Within Liverpool there isn't one mental health ward in which children can be admitted to. This means that children are being sent over 100 miles away to receive treatment, however, if they do not get sent away, they are placed into adult mental health wards, the youngest child admitted being 12 years old. By signing this petition you are agreeing to the motion that within the Alder Hey new build, their should be a mental health clinic for children aged 0-18.

Absolutely disgraceful that kids are sent miles away from home when they are so poorly. Needs to change now.

This is an excellent idea. CAMHS is an important issue amongst young people in Liverpool and rest of North West as seen by fact that Youthforia group of young people from across north west England have adopted this as their campaign for 2014-15
