This has been planned for a long time. Why do you think Albert Lea and Austin clinics were joined in 2013!

We took my son to the hospital this past weekend. They had to transfer him to Austin Sunday for an appendectomy. We need our services here! It is crazy to have to transfer to another city. Thank goodness it did not rupture on the ride over. I hope we can get other medical service here and Mayo can go elsewhere.

I refuse to take my services to austin. If I need to travel for services I will avoid Mayo Clinic. Please keep services available in our town. Austin has a bad reputation and I have had bad experiences there.

It is unthinkable, given the medical history of services available in Albert Lea, that the Mayo system would even consider transitioning services without consulting the residents of the community before making such a drastic announcement. The social and economic impact to our community is undeniable, and certainly will not result in benefiting the community in any way. If Mayo is determined to proceed down this path, I am sure the leaders and citizens of this community will find a way to bridge the gap in this ill-gotten plan by exploring alternative sources of quality medical services for Albert Lea and the surrounding area.

Let the Mayo boys take a flying leap and make our beautiful facility into a county hospital!!!!

Please keep everything here. It's bad enough that it take 3 months or more to an appointment with a doctor already to be seen for anything. I can only imagine what will happen now. The hospital is the most important thing Albert Lea has.

Without the hospital and all of its current services Albert Lea will decline faster than it is already.

I think continuing impatisn't treatments IN the Albert Lea facility is very beneficial to not only the city, but the surrounding communities as well.

Don't take these services away from the community. Some people will suffer due to not being able to travel to receive treatment and services elsewhere.

This unwise decision to deprive our town of a full service hospital is going to adversely effect many of those employed there as well as other businesses in town. It is going to devalue property and homes around here as well. Who is going o want to move to a town that has no full service hospital? Our town is large enough to justify having a hospital here!

A city the size of Albert Lea absolutely needs to have inpatient/hospital services available for all of its citizens, especially considering its aging population, as well as the population as a whole, at all ages and with all needs.
