No good reason to do this other than pure greed. Mayo needs to get back to healthcare and prove itself worthy of non-profit status. As is, they are a medical monopoly on southern Minnesota.

For the past 10 years we have watched as one bad management decision after another was made by Mayo management.
It has been crumbling from the inside out and the knowing it would fall was obvious.
The facility needs someone to stand up and fight for what is morally right for Albert Lea. This has everything to do with the higher reimbursement for St Mary's and Methodist hospitals vs rural Albert Lea. This is about money and not the patient. I would like to to see the profits vs loss for 2016.
Drs. Do not want to work for rural Mayo.
Limiting patient census to the current levels allowed probably does equate to 5%, do your job and get some providers to keep the beds full, professional staff working, cut the top heavy management and give us our hospital back and not under Mayo.
I, as a floor nurse had five nursing managers above me - really? Many shifts didn't even have five nurses taking care of patients.
Healthcare in America is broken.

ALMC is 20 minutes away. Austin is 40 minutes away. This could be the difference of life and death for those of us forced to use Mayo in Emmons, MN
