We the undersigned urge you to identify bridge funding to sustain Albany SNUG through the period of 10/15/2011 through 3/31/2012.
SNUG is saving lives. Albany residents deserve to live in safe communities free from violence. In 2011 gun incidents have dropped 21% and the number of shooting victims has dropped 29%. There has been only one incident of retaliation in Albany since October, 2010 when SNUG began operations. SNUG/CeaseFire’s public health model is working and has brought hope to Albany residents, especially in neighborhoods that are the epicenters of violence. SNUG saves taxpayers’ money that would otherwise be spent on medical costs, public safety, court costs, incarceration, and lost productivity. SAVE ALBANY SNUG/CEASEFIRE.

My neighborhood has felt so much safer lately. dont take this away from us.
The stats speak for themselves. stop playing games with peoples lives.
SNUG is the only thing keeping the streets calm. keep the funding flowing!
We need these guys on the street. they are doing the work nobody else wants to do.
This program actually works. stop cutting corners where it matters most.
