Change The Alaska Safe Children's Act Bill Back!

The Alaska legislature has no excuse if it fails to pass this legislation in its original form. Helping our children and young people avoid abuse is an obvious priority which even the most socially conservative legislators must understand.

The Alaska legislature should this legislation without further delay. Conservative politics must give way to the best interests of our children.

Thank you for standing up for the voices that can not be heard. Let's get this law into effect. It could save your child, sister, etc. We need to move on this quickly to end this pain and suffering for not only the living, but the families of those that were taken.

Our children deserve the right to know who they can turn to for help. They need to be taught what is a safe touch and what is not. Otherwise, they can suffer abuse that could be prevented. How many of the alcohol and drug problems stem from abuse? It's too high a price to not keep our children safe.

For our children's sake

All of Alaska's children are our most important responsibility and should come first before politics.

Bree was a good friend of mind and was also killed right up the street from my home. I saw her and her boyfriend 2 days before she died and they seemed very happy. This just shows that the abuse she was taking was not evident even to her close family and friends. I was shocked when I heard of her death. Please pass this bill for the safety of future Alaskan women.

My bestfriend in Jr. High dated a teen who blew his head off standing 6 inches in front of her because she said the relationship was over for good. He blew his brains out in front of her. They were 17 years old. How horrific and devastating!! Friends & families had NO idea this would happen, until it did. By that time it was too late. Remember falling in "love" for the first time? Remember thinking you couldn't live without that person? Remember your first broken heart? We need to EDUCATE kids and young adults about abuse, what abuse is, what the signs of abuse are, how abuse begins ... We need to talk about the difference between "love" and abuse. We need to educate everyone BEFORE it happens. No child tells their parents EVERYTHING. When you grew up, did you tell your parents everything??! How many secrets do you still have? As a teenager I was brutally raped and stalked by my "boyfriend". It was devestating and traumatic. I was ashamed. I was embarrassed. I didn't know where to go for help. Looking back it's so easy to see what I could or should have done. But as a 16 year old kid I was ashamed. I met him at a party, we were drinking, we were underage. I didn't want my friends and I to get in trouble. I wasn't sure even what to do. PLEASE PASS THESE BILLS!! One dead child is one too many. Planned Parenthood? A "secret aganda"?The fear of the possibility kids might hear about birth control or abortion is better than teenagers and young adults comiiting suicide or murder or murder suicides!! How many murder suicides happened in Anchorage in the last 2 weeks? Look at the parents who lost their daughter and their 3 grandchildren. Don't let happen in anyone else's family!!

Bree Moore was a wonderful friend and person. I hope to see this bill pass.
