This decision, although taken in the bets interests of irradiating drugs from sport, was a travesty of justice to the extent that it has further allowed drugs to ruin competition sport. The substance found and quantity was not performance enhancing and therefore it is crazy why the decision should stand. Common sense should prevail or this is another example of the real drugs cheats continuing to ruin not only our sports but our sporting history.

He was cleared of any wrongdoing and gained no competitive advantage, as acknowledged from memory by the other racers. So a momentous Olympic achievement has gone unrecognised which it would be amazing for the IOC to put right.

The man took a cold remedy, for crying out loud! How could that in any way warrant disqualification from the event? Alain worked hard all his life to achieve this dream, and he played by the rules. It's unfair that certain countries with truckloads of banned drugged-up athletes (hint: the host of the current Winter games) are not banned from international competition, while a skiier from a country with a clean Olympic record has been sanctioned. This petty fight over a stupid technicality has gone on long enough and numerous tests in between have proved that the supposed 'rogue' stimulant was not performance-enhancing. Come on, IOC. We, the undersigned, plead for you to restore Alain's medal and, with it, the pride of a man, the pride of a nation and (in your case) the integrity of the IOC.

IOC, Alain was cleared of any wrong doing, yet you still took his medal away. I think you need to amend your rules and re-instate him as the bronze medal winner. Ignoring this situation shows your rules are misaligned with court rulings and ultimately unfair.
