The IOC should have done this already without the need for a petition!

The "drug" that Alain Baxter was "caught" with in a test for Amphetimines was in fact Levamphetimine. Which is in fact not a stimulant. However because of of the molecular similarity it triggered the IOC test. Therefore the test to "catch drug cheats" caught an innocent person. Hence the medal should be returned.

Alain should not suffer because the IOC rules were out of date and not fit for purpose

There is absolutely no reason why Alain's well deserved Bronze Medal should not be re-awarded without delay.

Vicks nasal spray is not performance enhancing, it contains the l– form of methamphetamine that is an ingredient which is 5 times less potent than the d-form (i=legal, d=drug). It is important to note that routine mass spectral analysis does not differentiate these enantiomers and in circumstances as this, the atheletes urine should be sent to a confirmatory laboratory, This was not done in Alain Baxter's case and he was stripped of his medal because they could not be bothered distinguishing between the two

If he was English he would have kept the bronze. Racism once again against the Scots.
