The flowers brighten the seafront and improve the area.

There is very substantial footpath that is plenty wide enough to enable pedestrians to walk past to go either to or from the building site that is the old Pleasurarma site! Why there is a dispute about this I really don't understand?? It's utterly ridiculous!! The planters would not cause any sort of obstruction as at this point where the turning circle path is double width of the path along the rest of the parade. The likes of Little Ships, Enoteca, Rokka and Royal Oak are all allowed to have ugly advertising barriers outside all day and night which leave very little room for pedestrian access. Of course these business are the friends of the council and Thorley is part of the Licencing. Committee. The rest obviously have a financial arrangement!! These planters are good for the environment and pleasant to look at! As usual it is the local council trying to encourage the good local businesses to lose their integrity and force their hand into their pocket when all the time these businesses want to do good for the area!!

Bring the planters back. My mum is in a wheelchair and there’s still plenty of room to use the footpath.

There was plenty of room for prams and wheelchairs etc. I cannot fit my pram past rokka etc so why are they allowed?! This was beautiful especially next to the terrible pleasurama site.

I do not understand why the flower boxes have had to be removed from outside Ala Turka they were a very nice addition to the front. They were not an obstacle, there was plenty of room to pass on the pavement in fact there was more space there than on the pavement along the harbour wall often people have to walk in the road there due to the narrow paving area. Many of the other establishments make it difficult for pedestrians to pass during the day with their tables and chairs why has the council discriminated against this particular business?

What is all the fuss about. Ramsgate will benefit from the brightness these flower tubs will create. It's all good for community.
