should have done this a long time ago. I agree with this 100%. people that come here from another state or country should not receive one regardless of how long they have been here. its what I call "take my money and run".

I think this is a very good Idea, I know of people who moved to the state, along with their families claim residency here but live in another state. Alaskan born would prevent, or help,

Wait. So if I was born in Arizona but moved to Alaska before I was even 2 months old I wouldn't get the pfd? Also, my family (mom,and sister,and i) who moved up here because my mom was air force reserves (my sister was 5) didn't come here for some money but with how much it costs to live here I would say that we deserve to get that money as much as any alaska born resident. My mom has received many awards for protecting alaska`s air (she was an air traffic controller radar operator who watches out for enemy air craft and unidentified aircraft). She has been in Alaska for 20 plus years and just retired here in Alaska from the airforce after 23 years.
