Just when Americas so desperately needs to come together as Americans there are those who seek to divide us. Did anyone notice that the population increase before the pipeline was commissioned and the PFD was instituted was significantly greater than after? (69-76 = 115,200 versus 76-84 56,200). So the whole premise that all these people came here just to get your precious PFD is completely bogus. So you were born here? Well I hope you are one of the indigenous people because if you're not one of your parents or grandparents weren't born here and that should make you ineligible too! Hey, if you're circulating a petition why not expand the criteria a little and just make the PFD for the indigenous people only? They are the first Alaskans. Certainly not you. Signed: A White Guy. Ps: I didn't move here for the PFD and I give mine to a non profit.

This is a great idea. Plus, I've always thought that all Alaska Natives--enrolled in an ANCSA Corporation-- should be automatically eligible for the PFD no matter where they reside.

I was born and raised here, though I believe anyone who has lived here more then 20 years should be considered Alaskan I also believe it would help keep those people that are just here for the PFD away.

I came to Alaska 56 years ago when I was 11. I was here long before there WAS a permanent Fund and I will die here even should there never be another. Don't dare suggest I am "less Alaskan" than my spouse who was born here. This is a very divisive proposal.
