Airlines: Silence Your “Airbus Whine” with the Simple Fix that Will Reduce Noise Distress for Millions of People!

United Airlines, please do this now. I have flown with United since 1951. It appears that this costs way less than $5000 per plane. Please do it during normal periodic maintenance downtime. Please show that you care about us, your passengers.

I would welcome laws that limit the expansion of the number of flights until it can be figured out how to make them quieter..

Dear Airlines: A simple, inexpensive fix like the vortex generator will go a long way toward becoming a better neighbor.

United Airlines has announced that they started retrofitting their Airbuses with vortex generators, but it will take two years because the work is done at the same time that the fuel tanks are replaced.

This has been recommended in our area for a long time, but the airlines and FAA are too cheap to do anything. It's time that changed!

The airbus whine is terrible. Please, please fix so that we can be outdoors and protect our ears and our health.

I am sick of hearing the constant whine, day and night, almost nonstop. It seems to be getting worse in recent weeks. I live 30 miles from San Francisco International Airport. This is unacceptable, and ridiculous since there is a simple fix. Do the right thing, and do it NOW.

Airbus landings at SFO that overfly my house are 3-5x louder than all other jets. We need this fixed!

As of today 6-28-16 seems like I'm hearing a320 noisey approaches without much change yet!

This whine is very disruptive. It is very audible inside and outside my fully insulated, dual pane window home. Our elected officials should require quieter planes to protect it's citizens, particularly when it is NOT a costly fix. Airlines have the ability to spread the costs of developing quieter technology and retrofitting older planes over it's millions of ticket sold each year.

Please! Whatever can be done to reduce the noise would seriously improve the quality of life in North Cambridge.

I was always wondering what cause that awful pitch flying over my house. C'mon Airbus, get your act together and cut the noise for the very people your serve.

Flights over Culver City We are getting more and more low flying flights over my home in Culver City. They come at a regular pace every couple of minutes. The flights are extremely low impacting health, quality of life, and property values. The noise is extreme and at times it smells of jet fuel. Some of these flights are so low, that they are no higher than they are immediately after clearing the takeoff runway at LAX. The house shakes when these planes fly over. And this continues in the middle of the night. On a regular basis we are woken up at 3:00am or 4:00am in the morning. Randy Ehler

Horrible noise interrupting daily life!!

I live in Watertown and the noise is disturbing.

This is an absolute "No-Brainer" to reduce the impact of noise for the millions of us who live directly under airport flight patterns!

Airplane noise pollution is tremendously harmful to local residents physically and mentally. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!

Noise pollution from airplanes is significantly disrupting people's and animals' lives. Airlines need to fix this problem and those that do will earn our business!

The flights over the hills along Skyline Drive are sending birds scattering into the skies in reaction to the airline noise. These flights are wreaking havoc on wildlife in the hills. City noise should stay in the city -- not breaking the tranquility and destroying the environment of the peaceful hills we ALL use. We need to be wise in this decision!
