The retrofit costs $3000 and can be implemented overnight without any immobilization of the aircraft. This whine is a bug, that must be corrected.

The repetitive high pitched whine of plane after plane, day after day is so stressful that we have had to rent elsewhere, leaving our beautiful Palo Alto home and community behind. We are anxiously waiting for NextGen/FAA to hear our pleas. Stopping the horrible whine would be a baby step in the right direction.

These flights disturb my sleep at night and are annoying during the day.

eliminate the “Airbus Whine” is a two-inch triangular piece of aluminum called a vortex generator.

Fuel costs are lower now. Air fares have not been reduced. Use that savings to reduce the Airbus whine. It's a one time cost per plane

We live under the new RNAV approach to Logan in Boston. Aircraft are at 500ft passing every 2 minutes! Our house shakes, we are woken up late at night, anything to reduce the noise!!!

The $ 5000 price tag is exaggerated. The retrofit can be done by screwing the parts* into existing holes, in less than an hour. The procedure has been homologated by EASA in 2007. I have got one sample for free just by mailing the manufacturer: this part cannot be that expensive.

As an American company I ask that you consider the well-being and quality of life issues of your fellow Americans - and not just your convenience and bottom line - by committing to install the vortex generator retrofit in your entire fleet of Airbus 320 jets by Jan. 1, 2017. And then publish your efforts. Thank you.

Please do this now. There's no excuse for torturing people on the ground with your excessive noise.
