On May 11,2007 an article titled \' HHS proposes new, stricter dress code\'stated that next year a few changes would be made. The article \'proposed\' that things that were hazardous and distracting to students were to be banned from the school. Banned items : - Mp3 & CD players ; [is rumored. But actually may not be banned] - Electronic decives; Cell Phones [also rumored] - Hats, Caps, Hoods, Dew [sic] rags, skull caps & scarves Other changes : - Students are banned from showing any kind of underwear [underpants, briefs, boxers, thongs, panties, camisoles and brassieres ] The thing about the underwear ban is, what if someone doesn\'t know their underwear is out Or if they bend over - No Midriffs, cleavage - All sorts of jackets [coats, starter jackets, satin jackets, letter jackets, down jackets, windbreakers,etc] - No metal chains or spike jewelry . The school considers the chains and spike jewelry a safty hazard. How is it unsafe Its not like they throw themselves at the students. Schools want us to be individuals, how can we do that with our rights being taken away
