Canadian youth against persecution in Pakistan

Humanity is endangered in Pakistan. Laws like the blasphemy law, 15th amendment (the sharia law), and 295 C have become a source of victimization and persecution of human rights in Pakistan. According to the blasphemy law, and 295 C in particular, anyone who by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly defiles the name to Prophet Mohammad, shall be punished with death, or imprisoned for life. Where in the case of a minority its death or life imprisonment, but if a Muslim is committing the same crime, he/she is subjected to three years of imprisonment. Such laws humiliate the equal human rights. These laws hang on the heads of minorities in Pakistan like naked sword. Many innocent people have lost their lives including some accused ones who had not been brought to trial but were killed by fanatics and extremist groups. Minorities suffer all sorts of accusation made in the shelter of these deadly laws. In the context of these discriminatory laws, human rights are being suppressed. One barbarous example is the incidence of August 1st, 2009 Gojra attack. for pictures visit: www.seedpak.org or www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.phpgid=117092489652 The government refrains from taking action against the extremist elements for reasons of political expedience. Please take a stand against this brutality and urge the government of Pakistan to respect human rights. Just sign your name and leave a comment on this site.
