These new policies need to stop, they are unnecessary and nobody wants them not even some teachers!

You try to go to the bathroom during passing period you get locked out of class. You don't and you get questioned as to why you didn't go during passing period and end up not being able to go. UTI is a thing. Periods are a thing

This is not right! A student might have an emergency to use the restroom, or take longer to get to the other side of the school .

Some students are held in classrooms on the other side of capmus for a couple minutes after the bell, and can't make it to class in time, myself included. Being required to get a tardy pass for something that isn't our fault in particular is unfair.

I understand the reasoning of the new policy's but they are and going to hurt a lot of good students that are doing what they need to while also in the futur make then just quit, give up and not care anymore cuaseing more issues more drama and a domino effect of trouble students and new policy's makeing more troubled students, for example me i go from the CT5 room to 814 then from 814 to 615 in the morning which was already hard having 5 minutes with most of the time cuaseing me to just make the bell to class or be close to my class and the bell rings, but now with the tardy sweeps its punishing me for being late when its not my fualt
Secondly with the lunch gates being closed 10 minutes before lunch ends thats going to cuase students to get very upset while also at the same time cuaseing students to miss out on lunch because the last 20-15 minutes is when quite a few students get lunch sice the lines are fairly long most of lunch till the end when they have died down which i should know sice i do this my self, other wise you'll be waiting anywhere from 5-20 minutes most times pluse students that had tutorials also will get luch at that time as well
So yes im against the new policy's for the reasons stated up above and for a few other reasons but, i will say one of the other reason is the chaos the new policy's will be makeing which will be counterproductive to the reasoning of the new policies being made in the first place hints the reason of policy's being made, now don't miss taking me I completely understand the reasoning of the new policies being made for the increase in constant rate of students not following the rules and the push for more strict punishment and rules being made to regulate the troubled students that the school has I just believe that it's not quite fair that us good students do what we need to and follow the rules for example myself it's going to hurt a lot of us like I've stated cause more problems in the end and future / process maki

When I was I'm school it was always hard to eat lunch being an athlete and trying to struggle with passing classes was a toll my junior senior year students need more time but shouldn't take advantage of the system

Why is he tardy policy harder that the absence policy? It’s like the rules are saying it’s better to just miss school in general then be tardy. Because you’ll get more punishment if you’re tardy. The school board/ district is not pressed for cash . Higher some who deals with only tardies and make it less of a problem. If tardies are made a big deal by administration and school rules the kids are going to want to defy because that’s just what teens do. And after that deeply re-evaluate your administration. And if the attendance clerk can’t handle the overload of kids with tardies maybe someone else should do her job. Lastly I don’t think this school does a very good job at preparing the kids for the real world or life I College. All I’m saying is there are more important things SMHS should be stressing other than tardies. In College it doesn’t matter if you are tardies.
