Against the Childcare Centre DP application at 9 Lincoln Street Eastwood

A childcare with 90 children would impact the traffic significantly, our street is too crowded now.

Traffic does not support this plan. Risk to kids.

I oppose to the development on Lincoln Street

The traffic that the school causes on a tiny suburban street is already a hazard and high risk. The road needs to be widened enough for parked cars and traffic to pass both ways if a childcare centre is approved

Totally out sized commercial childcare centre relative to the street. Will add significantly to congestion in an already narrow residential street

This will create lot of issues in the neighbourhood. The proposed development does not fit within the established character of the area and is considered out of context for the locality.

Consider how narrow and how crowded Lincoln Street is, adding a 100ish-people size childcare right next to Eastwood Height Public School is a crazy idea. I’ve already pictured the madness chaos in the normal school day if it got approved. Lots of kids running on the narrow street with heavy traffic - I would really concern: that’s a big risk to have accidents. Besides, the jammed traffic will not just impact the Lincoln street but more importantly impact balaclava road, which makes the whole area suffered.

The street is not meant to handle the traffic let alone a commercial childcare centre. Horrible and a very problematic idea

Stop building the childcare on already very congested road. Don’t risk our kids. It’s on to you.

Not good for the students in Eastwood heights

Clearly a single day traffic study looking at cars turning into the street, rather than looking at parking, traffic, car and pedestrian movements at the existing school over an extended period of time is more appropriate. Safety of young children is at stake here not adults who can clearly make better decisions about their own road safety.

I live in Raymond street. The traffic already very busy during school hours. Eastwood heights public school and St. George preschool parents parked in Raymond street, when I want to go out during school hour, it is very hard. A childcare with 91 children is crazy busy it will make the situation even worse. Our family is strongly against the application. Please reject with no doubt.

I object the development plan to build a childcare at 9 Lincoln Street for safety and traffic issues.

Against this development due to safety, construction disruption and traffic concerns

Just a very I appropriate location for a large childcare. My kids attend Eastwood Heights, this would be very disruptive to the traffic and kids learning.

Traffic will be worse

Lincoln Street is such an short street to cape for a primary school, let alone a childcare centre with 91 kids and 15 staff and 18 parking positions. At the moment when it is picking and dropping time, the traffic is jammed, we can’t get into and out of the street. It is too crowded and most of the time it’s jammed. Quite few time I had narrow escape from a accidents. It’s too dangerous.

Create potential traffic hazards.

The road is already too crowded because of Eastwood Heights. It become more risky for kids having another big traffic maker.

There will be too much traffic and no way to get a car park
