Petition Against the Rezoning of Good Hope Road/Wertzville Road Intersection

I do not support rezoning this area to commercial.

I do not support rezoning of up to eight parcels on the southwest corner of the Good Hope Road/ Wertzville Road intersection from Low Density Residential to Commercial.

I do not support the rezoning of that intersection. It's already really dangerous. Adding more traffic would make the area even more dangerous!!

Traffic is already horrible on Wertzville Road, particularly when 81 is jammed. It's dangerous pulling out of your development if you want to turn left, and the backlog makes it difficult to get home. This area is beautiful and full of homes with children. Let's keep that safe, both for traffic and pollution purposes.

Please do not rezone. Keep zoning as residential.

Stop taking our ground for commercial use. The last thing we need on the Wertzville Rd. is more traffic.

I'm not in favor of changing that intersection to commercial.

Put the residents and safety first. This is single handedly the worst intersection already, why are we considering drawing more traffic there? Not to mention, there are already so many vacancies in the Planet Fitness shopping center. Why not draw commercial interests there before considering building new complexes.

The developer’s plan would destroy property values and lifestyle of adjacent Greenwood Estates. Our neighborhood, Wellington of Hampden, will also suffer from increased traffic on Wertzville Road. Zoning should stay as is.

Hampden township is OVER developed. Since moving here in 1999, commercial development has continued to encroach rural and residential neighborhoods, forcing wildlife into smaller areas. Bears and coyotes now frequent our neighborhood, where children play. Hampden needs more designated “Open Space.” NOT more commercial development!

I am opposed to the proposed rezoning at the intersection of Wertzville and Good Hope Rds. because commercial development will increase traffic problems.

This intersection is busy enough. There are so many empty store fronts that could be utilized instead of building new.
